All,

Well time sure does fly. The children are back in school, the leaves are ready turning color and the temperature is falling fast.

I want to Thank everyone that has come out and supported us thru various events, July 4th, Funeral Details. I also want to thank all those that have brought out a new Veteran and friend to our Post. Without your continued support we would not continue to Support all of the programs that we have been supporting. We will be having our annual Christmas party as well as a New Year’s eve Party.

We also have a couple of upcoming events that we will need your support, Oct 15th 1st annual motorcycle toy run and Nov 12th we will be hosting A 5k run at our Post. If you would like to assist in helping please let me know.

Our new cook Tammy has been doing a great job in the kitchen and the food has been great. If you haven’t been out to eat stop on by Tuesday-Saturday – 4 to 9 p.m.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Post.

Thank you,

Comrades,
It has been brought to our attention that there is an organization that is NOT a part of the Department of Veterans Affairs that is attempting to gather personal information from veterans. Please see the link below.

Comrades,

I hope this email finds you all well. The purpose of the mailing is three-fold.

  1.  As many of you may know, we are currently renovating the Post. Our target date for the completion of Stage 1 is Feb 21, 2011. I am hoping that as a member of our Post, you will come down to see what has been accomplished so far.
  2. In regards to the number of members we have at our Post, we are currently 3rd in District 9. I am asking that you reach out to the Veterans you know, and invite them to join you to see Stage 1 completion. There have been many positive changes that will assure the Post’s survival, and provide continued support for our Veterans from all eras.
  3. We would greatly appreciate if you could please confirm that the information in our database with regards to you membership is correct and if you are aware of anyone that is deceased, please let me or quartermaster Bob Broody know. Should anyone of you know members who have not renewed their membership yet, please encourage them to do so.

Please keep in mind that we will pay for any new VFW qualified member first years membership or we will pay 20% of the cost if they want to become a life member.

Thank you,

I want to thank everyone who has come out to assist, and continue to assist, with events such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day and our adopted military unit.
We have several Post programs that are in effect so we can continue to pursue our mission of giving to the community. I want to thank those that have volunteered to be the chair for each one of the programs. The programs are as follows, Community, Cancer, and Medical and Youth funds.
Construction has finally started, so please excuse our dust while we are under construction.
Change is constant in life and while it doesn’t guarantee our success, it is a requirement for our organization to grow, improve and prosper. Please keep an open mind as we progress through our renovations and the positive influence you can have over the success of our post now and into the future.
We recently received 38 entries to our Patriot’s Pen program and have awarded the top 3 finalists. Respectfully, 1st place received $250, $175 and $75. We look forward to next year’s entries.
Our annual Christmas Eve celebration has been postponed. Look for this event to still be held late January.
Have a great and safe Holiday Season!
